Message from the bride & groom:

A lot has happened since we got engaged in October 2019: A global pandemic, quarantining, getting vaccinated, buying our first home, starting new jobs from home, postponing our wedding twice, exchanging vows at St Joes and baby Frances joining our family. We’re thrilled the wedding is finally happening and look forward to seeing you there!

FAQs

Where is the ceremony taking place?

Our ceremony will be held outside at the Blissful Barn. We will start at 5:00pm EST and guests should plan to arrive by 4:45pm EST.

How do I get to the Blissful Barn?

We have coordinated transportation for guests to/from the venue. School buses will depart from the Marina Grand Hotel and the Fairfield Inn, see the bus schedule on our transportation page.

Parking is available at the venue.

Ubers/Lyfts/Taxis need to be booked well in advance as there are limited drivers in the area.

What will the weather be like?

We are hoping for a beautiful day! However, weather in early June is very unpredictable in the midwest. The average high is 81° with a low of 63°. The ceremony will be held outside so it may be a bit hot (or cold), but we will keep it short and sweet. The Grand Patio is covered and will be a nice backup if it’s raining or the temperature is extreme. The barn does not have a/c but it is considered an open air venue and provides great airflow. We will plan to have heaters inside if needed and a bonfire outside.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire - leave the penguin tuxedos and formal gowns at home. The ceremony will be on the lawn, so be mindful of that if you decide to wear heels. Bring a jacket if you tend to get cold (looking at you, California guests!)

What type of food and drink will be served?

We will have an open bar. Light hors d’oeuvres will be passed during cocktail hour followed by a plated dinner.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP here by Saturday, May 14th.

Are kids invited?

As much as we love all the children in our lives, we’ve chosen to limit the number of kids we are including and we hope you understand. We are happy to help coordinate arrangements in the area, please reach out to us.
